- Alternative Browsers that are safer than Internet Explorer and free.
- Using Outlook Express more safely
- Alternative Email programs that are better and safer.
- Basic Email safety rules
- Cleaning up spyware and malware
- A few hints regarding passwords

This class takes up where the Internet Safety class ends. Students must either have Instructor permission or have taken the Internet Safety class. We will cover backups, cleaning up temporary files, maintenance schedules and how to automate them. We will learn how to determine all the programs starting up on your computer, how to determine what they do and disable those we do not want. We will learn to close many Windows security openings. Appropriate password and encryption information will also be available.
