Scheduling Emptemp
This is part 3 of my Emptemp series. In the first part I explained what temporary files are and why it is important to clean them out. I introduced you to Emptemp which is a terrific program for keeping temporary files in check. If you haven't done so already, you can download Emptemp from here:  http:⁄⁄www.danish-shareware.dk⁄soft⁄emptemp⁄index.html  In part 2 I explained how to use Emptemp to protect those cookies you want protected, and cleanup those you don't want to keep. Now I'll explain how to use Windows Task Scheduler to automate the whole process.

To get to the task scheduler, you use the START button, then Programs⁄ Accessories⁄System Tools⁄ Scheduled Tasks. When you setup a new task, the scheduler takes you through a set of menus (which they call a wizard). The big trick is to run emptemp with the "⁄all" parameter added. So find your program and add the ⁄all parameter. For me this is: "c:\tools\Empty Temp Folders 2.8.3\emptemp2.exe" ⁄all
