WinPatrol Tips - Part 2
The basic function of WinPatrol is to stop startup programs, but how do you know which ones to stop? Essentially, you have to check every one of you startup programs (or get someone like me to do it for you).  The easiest way is to subscribe to WinPatrol's database. This is what the Pro version is. For $19.95 you get access to his database and also you support his work. It is a good deal.
 
Once you have subscribed, you just need to highlight the program you want to check and request Plus information. This is well worth the money. You can also check this list which is probably the best on the web:

After you have identified all your startup programs, and disabled those you do not need, you can produce a report by clicking the report button on the first page. The report is saved in Documents and Settings\"your login name"\startuplog.html. This file could be sent to me for analysis.
