Important Update News
Time and Chaos Update
Time and Chaos, and Intellect have been updated. The latest Intellect is version 3.0.4.2. The latest Time and Chaos is version 7.0.4.2. This latest update is important as they have some date troubles with 2010. From within either program you can pull down the help menu, and then select "check for a newer version" and follow the instructions.
Adobe stops support for SVG Viewer
Adobe has stopped supporting the SVG Viewer, which is a browser plug-in for Scalable Vector Graphics. As a result Secunia's Personal Inspector will rightly move it from safe to "End of Life". There have been no reported incidents of infections through the latest 3.03 version, but there have been reported problems with people attempting to uninstall it.
For that reason, my advice is to go to the end of life screen in Secunia Personal Inspector and click the Ignore this program option and leave well enough alone.
Security Update for PDFXchange
As many of you know, I now recommend uninstalling Adobe Reader rather than patching it every month or two. I suggest that people use PDFXchange Viewer instead. Use that link and download the FREE pdf Viewer unless you need the functionality of the Pro Viewer. You should be running version 2.0.45. PDFXchange is smaller, faster and much better than Adobe reader. It allows you to fill in forms, add comments, highlight and then save pdf documents in addition to simply viewing them, so you have a better, faster, smaller pdf reader. This is the second update PDFXchange has had in the last month, so check your version to make sure you are up to date.
I find it works better if you close out of PDFXchange immediately after starting the download.
