Microsoft's XP Service Pack 2 CD is Available

Microsoft is now offering their CD for XP Service Pack 2. It is free, including free shipping. They want you to get this and share it with others. This is the best way for most of you to get and install the new service pack. In addition, you'll have it if you need to re-install. In my September newsletter, I will continue with recommendations regarding the service pack, so do not rush to install. I expect it will take a least a month for Microsoft to get the CD to you, so go ahead and order it now. Just click the link below and select the option for option to "Order the service pack on CD".

Microsoft is recommending that you use Windows update if you have a single computer. They are WRONG. You are safer installing this huge and complex operating system update from a CD or Hard Drive. Do not install it over the Internet.

Thanks to Don Cummings of TTJ for being the first to spot this link and bring it to my (our) attention.

If you do not have Windows XP, then do not bother to get this update.
